Lindsay Lohan Goes for Treatment at Cedars Sinai Medical Center!

   Lindsay Lohan, spotted last night Sunday, Oct. 28th, leaving the mental health unit of Cedars Sinai Medical Center! I guess shes trying to make some changes for the good perhaps as she continues with her treatment! Although there was no confirmation as to the reason for the trip to hospital...recent reports tell that Lindsay is part of new controversial anti addiction treatment! An insider told Star magazine that Lindsay Lohan will be treated by Matthew Torrington, M.D., who is the medical director of the PROMETA Center, which specializes in treating alcohol, cocaine and methamphetamine addictions. Dr. Torrington told Star Magazine, "In my clinical experience, I have found the treatment to be very, very effective and an incredible aid to people who are suffering." Although Dr. Torrington could not confirm that Lindsay is his patient due to confidentiality restrictions. However the lack of clinical studies has some professionals in the medical world worried about the effectiveness of Dr. Torrington’s methods. David Kan, M.D., a substance abuse expert at the VA Medical center in San Francisco, told Star Magazine, "...at this time there is no peer reviewed research that has been done on the treatment...there is also no evidence to suggst it is productive!" |
